A veces los usuarios hacen este tipo de comentarios al ser atendidos por un profesional diferente al que los ven\u00eda tratando y experimentan cierta mejor\u00eda. Pero, cuando no evidencian progreso, manifiestan: \u201cla herida me amaneci\u00f3 con mucho drenaje, eso fue porque otro profesional me hizo la curaci\u00f3n y tiene mala mano\u201d. Esto no es m\u00e1s que una creencia, considerando que influyen otros factores tanto intr\u00ednsecos como extr\u00ednsecos: la complejidad de la herida, su etiolog\u00eda, la edad del paciente, las patolog\u00edas de base, la aplicaci\u00f3n de una t\u00e9cnica as\u00e9ptica adecuada, la manipulaci\u00f3n de los ap\u00f3sitos tecnol\u00f3gicos, la educaci\u00f3n sobre los factores de riesgo y la adherencia de los pacientes y familiares a las recomendaciones brindadas. Otras de las situaciones que alteran la cicatrizaci\u00f3n de una herida son: Patolog\u00edas sist\u00e9micas como la diabetes, enfermedades del col\u00e1geno y presencia de cuerpos extra\u00f1os como astillas, fragmentos de vidrio, entre otros. Existencia de enfermedad vascular, arterial o venosa. Uso de medicamentos que retarden el proceso normal de cicatrizaci\u00f3n (corticoides e inmunosupresores). Ubicaci\u00f3n de la herida en una zona de movimiento constante, \u00e1reas de apoyo, con humedad o con menos tejido celular, como la cara anterior de las piernas. La edad es un factor importante, ya que los pacientes mayores suelen presentar patolog\u00edas sist\u00e9micas que afectan su capacidad de cicatrizaci\u00f3n, como las mencionadas anteriormente. En \u00faltima instancia, la eficacia de la curaci\u00f3n de las heridas, ya sea por la \u201cbuena o mala mano\u201d del profesional, puede ser vista como un tema que abarca tanto la realidad como la percepci\u00f3n mitol\u00f3gica. Algunos podr\u00edan considerar que la habilidad del profesional es el factor determinante, mientras que otros podr\u00edan verlo como un mito, reconociendo que intervienen m\u00faltiples variables.
